Companies where employees think, act and feel like owners are better places to work and they out-perform the competition. This workshop will explore how employee-owned firms can use Continuous Improvement (CI) to build or enhance their ownership culture by engaging and empowering employees where work is done, and value is created, every day.

In this interactive workshop, participants will learn how two New England ESOPs, Harpoon Brewery and Hypertherm, are engaging employee-owners through CI. Harpoon Brewery and Hypertherm are at different points along their CI “journey,” so this will be a great opportunity to learn how different companies incorporate CI, and how a CI culture can evolve over time. This workshop will provide participants with a definition of CI, a rationale for integrating CI into an ownership culture, and give specific examples from two prominent ESOP manufacturing firms.
