Praxis Announces New Firm Leadership
October 12, 2022
We are thrilled to announce the appointments of Kathleen McInerney Kane and Linshuang Lu, both long-term leaders here at Praxis, to the new role of Managing Principal.
This recognizes Kathleen and Linshuang’s growing leadership role at our firm. As a firm that advises clients on leadership development, succession planning, and organization best practices, we try our best to follow our own advice and we see this shift as a major step for our firm’s sustainability.
Kathleen McInerney Kane joined Praxis in July of 2012, bringing 25 years of management consulting experience. During that time, Kathleen’s broad exposure to organizational life enabled her to see desired client outcomes clearly, and to create conditions in which those outcomes could be achieved.
In her previous role as the Global Director of Learning & Organization Development at Deloitte, Kathleen and her team were responsible for the development of 25,000 consultants on a global basis. Kathleen was also a trusted advisor to the partners at Deloitte relative to organizational change and succession system development.
Since joining Praxis, Kathleen has become an enthusiastic advocate for employee ownership, and quickly embraced the organizational opportunities employee ownership offers. During her tenure at Praxis, Kathleen has been a key contributor to growing our Leadership Development, Succession Planning, and Executive Coaching practices.
Kathleen recently co-authored, with Ginny Vanderslice, a comprehensive article about Succession Planning and Leadership Development in a new edition of the National Center for Employee Ownership’s publication, Leadership Development and Succession Planning (2022). She is also an adjunct faculty member at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she teaches Organizational Communication.
Linshuang Lu joined Praxis in August of 2010 out of a desire to support employee-owned companies and nonprofits. She began with providing financial literacy and ESOP education for employee-owners, as well as nonprofit strategic planning. Over time, Linshuang expanded her client work to include leadership development, culture change, and general organization development for nonprofits, employee-owned companies, and other values-driven organizations.
Whatever the service, Linshuang sees Praxis’ role as bringing people together to develop shared skills, engage in dialogue and create actionable plans, whether the goal is improving diversity, equity, and inclusion, supporting a healthier workplace, or making strategic decisions.
Linshuang brings curiosity, insight, and empathy to her work. She loves helping people discover their strengths, build better relationships with each other, and have productive and courageous conversations. She is delighted to deepen her leadership at Praxis and strengthen our capacity to help our clients.
In addition to her work at Praxis, Linshuang also enjoys teaching, instructing in postgraduate programs such as the Bryn Mawr Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Master of Organizational Leadership program, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Organization Dynamics program (starting 2023). She is also one of the Core Faculty members of the University of Pennsylvania ESOP CEO Program, co-sponsored by the Employee Ownership Foundation.
Praxis is honored to partner with you as clients, advisors and other stakeholders supporting employee ownership, nonprofits and other communities. These leadership appointments further our commitment to support you.
