Message of Solidarity

June 4, 2020

We stand against the racial injustice that affects every black person in this country. We stand in solidarity with the protesters who are asking that black lives be valued equally to other lives.

We invite all leaders to listen with empathy to the experiences of their black colleagues at all levels, and to imagine what it is like to live in fear of the institutions that are supposed to protect and serve everyone.

While we do not have all the answers and we have much to learn, we are committed to building equitable, inclusive, and diverse organizations for ourselves and for others.

“The beauty of anti-racism is that you don’t have to pretend to be free of racism to be an anti-racist. Anti-racism is the commitment to fight racism wherever you find it, including in yourself. And it’s the only way forward.” – Ijeoma Oluo
