Reasonable Leaps of Faith: Learning about Demonstrating Impact from the Nonprofit Sector
Forward thinking organizations want to be able to demonstrate their impact across multiple dimensions, including job fulfillment, employee engagement, improved trust and collaboration. Doing so with quantifiable metrics can be challenging for organization development (OD) practitioners because we work in complex human systems. This article applies approaches to evaluating impact from the nonprofit sector to organization development work, and advocates for balancing our confidence and humility.
