ESOP Association Pennsylvania/Delaware Chapter - 2025 Spring Conference

Linshuang Lu will present Leading Change: An Opportunity for Engagement

To succeed, companies often need to change—invest in new equipment or software, expand or contract their facilities, teach employees new skills, redesign its incentive programs, or restructure the organization. In addition, many companies are going through leadership transition, which can have a large impact on the company.     All these changes can cause employees a wide range of emotions, including excitement and hope, as well as anxiety and loss. While challenging, change can present a wonderful opportunity to engage employee-owners to think and act like owners more. Come to this session to learn principles for effectively leading people through times of change.

Matt Hancock will present Inclusive Leadership in ESOPs with Clayton Bubek from RETTEW

The research is clear: ESOP-owned businesses with a strong ownership culture out-perform their competitors, and create more wealth for participants. By showcasing the experience of RETTEW, this workshop will explore the key role that inclusive leadership plays in strengthening and sustaining ownership culture.  A 100% ESOP-owned engineering firm, based in Lancaster, RETTEW was recognized in 2023 by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) as Pennsylvania’s DEI Company of the Year.    Whether you are a new or seasoned ESOP, a senior executive or frontline employee-owner, this workshop is for you.

In this workshop you will learn:
•    How inclusive leadership can help attract and retain talent
•    How inclusive leadership enables more employees to think, feel and act like owners
•    How leaders can model inclusive behaviors
•    How to get started in building a more inclusive ownership culture
