TEA National Conference

Join our team in DC! Alex Moss, Ginny Vanderslice, Lindsay Shafer, Linshuang Lu, Kathleen McInerney Kane, and Matthew Hancock will be attending.

Join us at the following sessions:

Developing Leadership Skills For Ownership & Inclusion
Linshuang Lu will be presenting with Cindy Lewis from AirBorn.

Supervisors and managers play an essential role in how employees experience the culture of a company. Many of them were promoted because they were the very best at their technical or functional job, but must now learn how to lead others. This session will focus on the most important leadership skills for fostering an environment of ownership and inclusion, so that people of all backgrounds feel included and engaged, and are motivated to contribute to the company’s success in helpful ways. The session will showcase practical ways you can develop these skills for front-line and middle leaders in your company.

Panel Discussion on Employee Culture & Education

Lindsay Shafer will be presenting with Christie Kane from Gardener's Supply Company, Joe Verri from Morgan Stanley, and Paul Dougherty from Recology.

Be part of an engaging panel discussion where YOU, the audience, play a pivotal role in shaping the conversation. At the session's onset, index cards will be distributed for you to jot down your burning questions for the panel. With a roaming moderator equipped with a microphone, audience members will have the opportunity to actively participate and voice their thoughts. This interactive session aims to foster dynamic discussions based on topics of interest identified by the audience, with insights shared by representatives from three esteemed companies.

Mentorship & Ownership Culture

Matt Hancock will be presenting with Aaron Moberger from AVID Products, Inc.

Mentorship is integral to achieving our potential, both professionally and personally. Critically, mentorship can be a key part of sustaining an ownership culture over time, not just a tool for developing leaders. Join us for this “crowd-sourced” session that puts participants in the driver’s seat. The moderators will act as facilitators, inviting participants to work in pairs and small groups to discover what makes a mentorship program effective and rewarding for all involved.
