Your ESOP & You
This session uses an interactive role play format -- including stock, cash, and a potential outside buyer -- to illustrate what an ESOP is (& isn't), how the ESOP typically buys stock, the basic rules of participation (including when and how employee-owners can receive their distribution payments), a *high level* explanation of the valuation process and how employee-owner affect value, concluding with a discussion of what changes and what does not under ESOP ownership. This session is targeted to those new to ESOPs, and to those charged with explaining the concept in simple terms to their teams.
