Nancie Zane

Please join us in honoring Nancie Zane as she retires from Praxis Consulting Group at the end of December. We invite you to submit a message for Nancie using Newlywords, a platform to gather your notes and photos into a hardcover book. If you have had the opportunity to work with Nancie, please consider sharing your stories and well wishes by January 10, 2025.

Throughout her career at Praxis, Nancie has been an organizational development consultant, an executive coach, a faculty member, a trusted advisor and colleague, a nonprofit board member, and a Praxis principal. She has partnered with organizational leaders to explore new ways of deepening their mission impact. Building on their knowledge and experience, Nancie supported clients to envision, act, and re-align from various strategic, structural, and equity-based perspectives.

Nancie’s commitment to learning and nonprofit sector development led her to sit on the national board of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management for many years as well as the Philadelphia Group Dynamics Chapter.

She co-founded Intergen, an intergenerational organizational development group for Philadelphia practitioners to learn together across generation, race, and gender/gender expression and provide educational opportunities for less resourced nonprofits in the area. Nancie co-authored articles related to organizational assessment and change as well as the significance of DEI work for strengthening successful educational and financial institutions.

“From our earliest days, Nancie has infused our firm and our client work with her brilliant insight into people and organizations, her masterful ability to recognize and work through individual and team dynamics, and her extraordinary curiosity,” says Alex Moss, President of Praxis. “Our practice will continue to thrive in no small part by aspiring to live up to the values she has demonstrated.”
Nancie and the Praxis team are looking forward to Linshuang Lu, Managing Principal, continuing to lead the nonprofit work at Praxis.

Nancie will continue coaching leaders engaged in social justice and mission-driven work as well as pursuing her board responsibilities with the W.E. Proudford Sickle Cell Fund. She also plans to pursue her delight in traveling with family and friends to discover new historical, cultural, and artistic perspectives.
