Marsha Wesley Coleman is Senior Consultant at Praxis and an experienced organizational development practitioner and executive coach. Marsha’s work frequently focuses on organizational culture, management and leadership development, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). She also works with organizations to refresh their organizational values, provide tools to manage conflict and lead with intention, and support historically marginalized groups.
Prior to joining Praxis, Marsha spent 13 years as the Director of Learning & Development at Friends Services Alliance (FSA), where she designed educational programs for employees of aging services organizations and worked with leadership teams to diagnose issues and develop strategies to improve organizational performance at individual, group, and system levels.
She served on the advisory committee for a partnership between LeadingAge and the United Negro College Fund to provide pathways for students of color to explore working in the field of aging services and was a frequent speaker at LeadingAge conferences and webinars.
Marsha is certified in the Organization Workshop and a Master Trainer for When Cultures Meet through Power + Systems. She is an administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Intercultural Development Inventory, which helps individuals increase their cultural competence.
Marsha has taught master’s level courses on Systems Literacy, Action Research, and Foundations of Organization Development at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and was a facilitator for the Culture Module in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program.
Marsha is a member of the Board of Directors for Positive Music for Positive Minds, volunteers with the Scholarship and First Fruits Food Ministries at Salem Baptist Church of Abington, and belongs to the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter where she is a member of the Arts and Letters Committee.
Marsha holds an MS in Organizational Development and Leadership from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, an MBA from Penn State University, and a BA in Mass Media Arts from Hampton University.
